Relationship anxiety or Gods warning: Should you break up?

with

Joy and Mathieu Rossignol

Joy and Mathieu spill the tea on relationship anxiety, dishing on past baggage, toxic thoughts, and the wild ride of finding true love and peace!

Introduction

Yo, what's up, Heart of Dating crew? Kait and JJ in the house, and we've got a fire episode for you today! We're sitting down with Joy and Mathieu, and let me tell you, these two are the real deal. We're gonna be talking about that whole "I don't feel peace" thing that everyone and their mom seems to be saying these days.

But before we get into all that, can we just take a sec to appreciate how cool Joy and Mathieu are? Like, they met at ministry school, they've been through some crazy relationship stuff, AND they're Belgian? I mean, come on, that's just too good. JJ even shares some stories about growing up with a French accent, and it's hilarious.

Not Feeling Peace

Okay, okay, back to the serious stuff. Joy and Mathieu are dropping some major knowledge bombs about how saying "I don't feel peace" can really mess with your head when it comes to relationships. They're like, "Yo, you gotta face that anxiety head-on and make decisions based on what's real, not just how you feel." And let's be honest, we've all been there – stuck in those crazy, toxic relationships with all the ups and downs. Joy gets super real about how tough it can be to adjust to a healthy, stable relationship after all that drama.

Hard Work and Truth Not Feelings

But don't stress, they've got your back with some killer advice. Mathieu's all about figuring out what God's really saying in the middle of all the chaos, and he's like, "Look, God's about faith, hope, love, joy, and peace – not all that doubt and fear nonsense." And Joy's like, "Yeah, and it's not just about those feelsy vibes, you gotta put in the work to make your relationship last."

Importance of Community

Throughout this whole episode, we keep coming back to how clutch it is to have a tight support system and community around you. Kait gets real about her own experiences in a messed-up, abusive situation and how hard it was to break free. But when you've got people around you who can give you that real talk and love you through it all? That's the good stuff right there.

So, whether you're flying solo, boo'd up, or somewhere in between, this episode is packed with straight-up wisdom and real talk that we know you're gonna be all about.

We love having you as part of the Heart of Dating fam!

Thanks for hanging with us, until next time!
