Purity culture in the church hasn't always portrayed such a heathy view of sexuality. If anything, it's truly stewarded a toxic atmosphere for many. A few things before we dive in, we don’t believe that all purity culture messaging is BAD or wrong and we don’t believe it had necessarily bad intentions, but some of the ways it played out had really negative and harming effects on people.
