Jonathan “JP” Pokluda is the Lead Pastor of Harris Creek Baptist Church in Waco, TX. In addition to this, he is the host of a top 100 Christian Podcast, as well as a best-selling author. JP's partner in ministry is Monica, his wife of seventeen years, and together they disciple their children Presley, Finley, and Weston. JP didn’t come to understand the grace of the Gospel until his early twenties after being involved in different denominational churches his entire life. This ignited a desire in him to inspire young adults to radically follow Jesus Christ and unleash them to change the world. Then lead him to write books such as Welcome to Adulting, which offers millennials and Gen Z a roadmap to navigating faith, finding a spouse, and facing the future, as well as Welcome to Adulting: Survival Guide and Welcoming the Future Church. His most recent book, Outdated, was written after seeing thousands of young adults struggle to tackle the dating world in a God-honoring way. In addition, his Podcast Becoming Something, covers similar topics and more to answer the questions of 20 and 30 somethings.
